First things first. I am Polish and the main reason I came here is to get some money. Its not like I couldn't find job in Poland. I would but the money could support one person and only one.
When I got an information from my girlfriend that she is pregnant I had to organise myself fast... Especially that I got the info when she was like in fifth month... You wouldn't notice a bit and so we didn't . I thought that the only place I am able to support my grownig family was abroad, I speak English quite well so the choice was made... UK.
Before comming here all Polish people - or at least most of them - think that the job can be found for them before they will arrive. Sometimes it is doable but usually a person has to find it him/herself. I wasn't much different when I came here. My firend told me that there is going to be work for me but when I arrived there wasn't. The place he was working was employing through agency. I registered and had to wait.
The whole waiting thing wouldnt be so bad if I'd bring some more money and I took 200Ł which is a lot of money in Poland but here it lasted 2 maby 3 weeks. I was paying 60Ł a week for a room in Greenford and i could feed myself for another 10. So I had to look for other working opportunities. I took my "English CV" and went for the hunt. I left CV's wherever I could but had no response. I even tried a few working agencies but they were telling me to come when I am here longer then 3 months which wasn;t helpfull at all .
Lifeboat came from one of my flatmates - Wojtas. He got a call for a demolition job from his agency and none of the guys employed in agency and living with us wanted it. He took it and also organised that I could come too.
My working life in Britain begun...

This is my first post on the blog ever... I basically have no idea what to write about in here. I never wrote a dairy because I couldn't be bothered. I'll Try to write about something in some time hopefully. I think this place for me is going to be something where I can write about job, WOW, and life in England. I am aware that most of the people reading this blog know about England more than me, You are English but I'll try to show this Country from the eyes of foreigner. I hope someone is going to find this interesting...
